Munich-based producer and DJ Sven van Holt drops “Sirens” on April 29, 2026—a darkly melodic, club-focused track steeped in ancient myth. Originally from the former GDR, Sven distills years on the dance floor—shaped by influences like Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, John Digweed, Carl Cox, Tiësto, Avicii, and Armin van Buuren—into a solo release that’s hypnotic, emotive, and built for late nights.
Sven started DJing in 2000, learning the craft on vinyl and spending long nights digging through crates in Munich, Germany. With a Pioneer DJM‑500 and two Technics 2010s, he sharpened his skills by studying the records of his heroes. In 2002, he headed to Ibiza for the Elevator DJ Workshop, which opened the door to sets at Privilege, Amnesia, Mambo Bar, Club Punta Arabi, and Beach Club Bora Bora—gigs that cemented his connection to the island’s sense of freedom and togetherness.
On “Sirens,” Sven channels Greek mythology’s mix of allure and danger. The track takes cues from the legendary sirens—mythical voices on a remote Aegean island whose songs make sailors forget everything, at a cost. Their promise: a song about Troy, Odysseus and ultimate knowledge, unlike anything heard before. With “Sirens,” Sven reaches for that same effect: an EDM cut that feels singular, immersive, and hard to turn away from, pulling listeners—and curators—into its atmosphere.
