New Promo: Studebaker John – Groove City

“Groove City” from our Chicago Blues man, Studebaker John, was originally written to be an opening number for a club set. While John was doing a session for the great producer George Paulus, one of his artists, Classie Bellou, a guitar player known for his guitar instrumentals by record collectors world wide, took a liking to it and asked if he could record it , Of course John said yes, but then, unfortunately the session never was released .

So this song sat for quite a while, and finally John decided to record it himself for an album release. He also used a vintage Dan-electro guitar, and recorded with two Leslie speakers to get that organ like sound on his guitar This is Studebaker John’s first single digital release with Zyx Music on our Blues label, Peppercake!
