New Promo: Masha Ray – Tumbalalaika
Masha Ray, the marvelous Berlin-based electro swing duo, conjure up vintage music with a fresh, modern twist. On their regular label Electro Swing Thing, they release a sizzling remix of the Yiddish classic ‘Tumbalalaika’. Imagine Balkan meets klezmer meets neo-swing, with an epic instrumental line-up – violin, clarinet, trumpet, tenor horn, balalaika and the brilliant voice of Masha on top. Grooving on the popular Russian-Jewish folk tune, the duo is ready to “make noise”, as the song’s name suggests.
